Ballet Academy Cymru launches its full programme today following discussions with RAD teachers, parents and arts leaders, which identified a gap in the youth provision of classical ballet in Wales. As you’ll know, younger dancers aged 8-16 have to travel to England to experience the development programmes and training intensives offered by leading UK companies who support youth training. BAC will look to bring that development experience directly to you, at home in Wales, instead.
The first two projects that we will be launching over the weekend are our production of The Nutcracker, which will take place at Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, Cardiff, in December 2022, and our Easter Intensive, which will take place in the second week of the Easter holidays in Cardiff.
